Prince Of Persia from Pixels to Perfection

Firstly I would so want to say that... I watched Prince of Persia on the 28th itself and...
WOOHOO!!! PRINCE OF PERSIA - THE SANDS OF TIME IS SO AWESOME!!

That definitely did not express how much the movie really made me go "OOOH" and "AHHH" and "WOOOOW" . Even more if you readers have not come into contact with the original game before, you would not understand how close the whole movie resembles the game. I am talking about the oh so awesome action sequences of course. Before I say more, let me give you a VERY brief idea of how it has evolved from  Pixels to The Greatest Movie Ever! ...

It reminds me of all the times I had to take a leap of faith *or two*, rushing to a closing gate after stepping on a floor switch screens away, countless of deaths from falls that always never fail to make me feel like a loser looking at the screen blink red and me just looking at my motionless, white clothed character lying on a bed of spikes, or trying to figure out the correct timing to slash at the numerous guards and foes *only happens IF I even remember where to find the sword in the first place*. If you can't see the short clip above and you want to see how the game-play is like click here

From a flat-faced hero, to the more rugged charming looking three dimensional hunk? See for yourself!

See the resemblance to the current Prince Dastan? Oh the realness of it all! Fantasy to Reality in the making!

Don't get me wrong its not that I'm fascinated by him *Jake Gyllenhaal* portraying the prince or the fact that he looks so spot-on with the video game version of the prince although I find that his sister *Maggie Gyllenhaal* is one other interesting personality to follow. Anyway, Its not just him! He's just one of the many points of awesomeness that make up this wonderful movie. Well then again maybe you girls out there would still say otherwise..

Now now hold up a sec. The prince for the ladies to oogle at, what about for the guys? I present to you Princess Tamina..

Whoops apologies not really the right situation to you a princess all wet and in the midst of escaping. Here's a somewhat more appropriate moment..

Ah what alluring beauty to behold. Gemma Arterton is so HAWT -quote Misopris-
To that I totally agree. Who else could it have been to further enhance the experience of a realistic journey through the tale of a Persian kingdom threatened by betrayal, a story of a guardian's sacred vow to protect the only object that ensures the very existence of the world and how one man fights for self-righteousness of his own and for what others that he believes in. Gemma plays this very important role as Princess Tamina of the sacred city of Alamut.

No epic story would be totally complete without the bad-ass bad guy! Meet Nazim, the King of Persia's brother and advisor. Nasty I tell you! maybe he should be called "Nazim the Nasty" ..

I have to admit when I wondered away about the movie while watching it *yes my thoughts still do tend to wonder off every now and then, even during an epic awesome movie like Prince Of Persia* I instantly thought of who would be the meanie this time and A-HA! Nizam appears on screen and immediately you just have to assume that he's the one responsible for future problems in the kingdom. Like really if you'd just look at him, eyeliner that thick, dark clothing, a rather bossy, overly confident stature of a man, looking rather resentful of whatever he may be pondering or plotting about the evilness of him, and not a smile on his face.  O_o
Just when you think you've solved a case of who-done-it near the beginning of the movie, the story takes a twist and you're completely diverted to some other person who also may seem to be the guilty as hell bad guy. Ah but you all know better, don't you?

Sir Ben Kingsley = Greatness
"  Muahaha!! I Kill You..  "

Throughout the entire story, immerse yourself in the most enchanting soundtrack. With its Persian-ish feel and mood, you'd feel like you're right in the middle of the desert along with everyone else in the movie. Dreaminess~  and Alanis Morissette lends in her awesomeness too! She wrote the song "I Remain" for the movie! Need I remind you again why Prince Of Persia The Sands Of Time is just AWESOME ?

Okay now back to the movie. Be prepared for amazing, jaw-dropping jumps and leaps from buildings, action sequences that will leave you rooting for the good guys, and a good load of funny amusing moments and lines, all in all a definitely jolly good time in front of a movie screen. Now if only movie tickets were cheaper, I'd go for repeats for this movie again and again! Enjoy. ^_^

Back To The Drawing Board, Knowing Myself

Clarity of the mind, realization comes, and a few things noticed, things that always have been in sight at a glance, but never looked at in detail close up.

I ♥ Food . Well especially the Japanese style of cuisine. Why? Its just so simple, light, and yet so tasty, you'd get all sorts of varieties of food you can never get bored of trying something new that it can offer, and you don't feel like you've tortured your poor lil' (or big) tummy forcing it to digest or expand to your endless greed for deep fried potato fries or oil drenched pieces of chicken fry or the sort.
Endless combinations of ingredients skillfully put together by masterful chefs. Heck, you could even attempt to make something on your own, and its entirely limited to your own imagination how you'd like your roll of seaweed and rice!

I got a new bicycle, time to include some very much needed exercise back into life!

Got a book about self-improvement which I actually want to read. I wonder where it went...

No denying it i LOVE music! and almost every other form of art.

I'm very quite similar to Galileo Galilei, Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking
rebellious, dare to challenge the norm, questioning it, think about all other possibilities, always wondering about the what ifs.

I need to find a part time job -.-

I want to get a lot of stuff.. for the purpose of self-improvement of course. :)

new laptop
a car.
bass guitar
drum set
video cam
recording equipment

a pack of UNO cards!

Do you ever get a thought, where you come up with some brilliant idea (or so you think it is) and you just can't wait to make it happen, may it be some piece of art on a canvas, something musical, or just out of the ordinary. Then after some time, you find out that some one else has the exact same idea, and had even put it up on YouTube or Myspace or some other place and gets all the credit for it. OK that totally sucks. It did make me come up with another thought that, ideas go around like waves of never-ending energy that float around, floating around the entire existence of a world as we understand it to be. Some times people who are sensitive enough to get caught in its stream, and then able to immerse themselves in its energy and come up with a way to transfer that to the rest of the world.

Do not wish for a new life every time you feel as if it isn't going well for you at all. Wish for a better life instead, because the life that you have now can never be taken away from you, and it is only as important as you believe it to be...

Morning Wonders

Sometimes in life, you'd never see the answers you've always wanted to know, never realized things that you've always often wondered about in a thought or a dream, even when its splotched all over in front of your eyes. Well in my case it would be most of the time in my life. Its like, have you ever wondered how you've become the person you are right now?

I've always been an artsy person, I shall confidently say and there is no denying it. What were the signs? What made me realize? This morning for instance, well, right after I woke up and still lying in bed, to a very chilly comfortable morning, I starting wondering about all sorts again, as usual. This time I had thoughts about, of all things, how hard would it be to draw a short flip cartoon of Homer Simpson Throwing A Duff Beer Can. I wondered how his arm would work, how far back and at what proper angle it should be and right after that all the way up to Homer's eyes and hair to his plain white shirt and then going downwards to his pants and right back up again, to what sort of shoes would Homer wear. This dear readers, was completely random; hadn't watched a Simpsons episode the day before, didn't see head nor tail butt of Homer anytime at all. Its been ages since the last Simpsons episode I got to watch.

Then, it hit me.. I was meant for the arts all along in my life. The scribbles in my school history books, the assortment of twirled, chopped, shaped, mustache-ed and re-bearded men of history, even some get the "Eye Patch Treatment" or a more decent pair of spectacles at the least (not most mind you) and other more typical art pieces one would normally find in a person's school books. It goes up all the way to the exam papers. Whats a guy gotta do to spend the remainder of the exam period from boredom just sitting on a butt-sore-inducing wooden chair?

Bring into existence scribbles of beaches and the deep blue sea, an abundance of coconut trees growing fruitfully with the sun shining and three-lined birds fly above curvy blue clouds in the blank white empty portion of the Question Sheets. If I feel extra confident about my exam I'd cram in shadows of tall, snowy mountains with even more rarer than a blue moon if the phenomenon were to have existed at all; a lone Mountain Climber heading to the summit eager to put his/her flag on that very top, only to realize that silly ol' Mountain Climber left it far below at the foot of the mountain. Yes, I literally draw rock formations that look like toes to a foot at the base of those mini Mount Everest things.

Well hmm, yeah sure there were those other times where it seemed as if I shouldn't ever pick up a paintbrush ever at all in my life. A long time ago during my early attempts at taking up Art classes, I'll usually start off just fine, wide awake, then bit by bit, I would slowly drift deeper and deeper into my colorful mix of pastels and pencil sketches, way deeper into the heavenly white tiniest of the smallest-est recognizable molecules of paper fiber... I doze off. Sitting.

Its not my fault there's always a ceiling fan turned on at max speed every time I attend Art Class, is it? Such comfort to have me slip into a short-lived afternoon nap.

Sadly a genius of an artist would not be my fate. *Sigh* so many obstructions, demotivators throughout school life. Most of you would recognize the..

"Don't scribble nonsense in your books"
"What are you wasting your time on that for"
"Don't you have anything more important to do"

..lectures the moment you see your parents or teachers open their mouths to speak even a soundless breath before words bombard your ears with painful criticism and comments a.k.a. Nagging is caused by everyday work stress and the "I did it my way I turned out fine, why aren't you doing it like I used to do in school" thinking they tend to have. Ahh~ school life..

Back to the present, seems to me my interests never really died out after all. Visual art skills for me is very much dependent mainly on how much i ever would bother to practice. What I'm saying is.. my drawing skills may extend to a level above Stick Men at the very least. The same goes for my capabilities in music. Gosh if only I got to focus more on music when I started Keyboard class. Heck the teacher must have been super stressed up because she was always strict in class. I thought music was supposed to be fun and enjoyable. Especially for kids at my age when I was about 3 to 5. LOL.

To sum it all up, yeah my drawing is still shitty. Thank goodness for me meddling much with the old Windows 3.1 computer when it was still around I'm quite handy with the pc now, trying out recording the guitar with a cheap headset microphone, composing some really weird music and posting it on a Youtube channel. Finally freedom! ..partially. I still feel that I'm being so restricted by the limited amount of knowledge that I have, to express my thoughts on a piece of paper with some lead, ink or paint and all my wonderful bizarre ideas that I want to share with everyone on a music score or sheet and through some really good quality headphones.

Oh well thats the life of me for now. PEACE!
